AAF Group Intelligence Support to Operations Advisor

Train and advise the AAF equivalent offices of TAAC-Air J2 to develop aircrew and targeteer trainees on basic target analysis in support of A-29, MD- 530, and AC-208 ordnance delivery. Develop AAF-sustainable targeting/weaponeering programs/instructions. Advise and assist the AAF on AAF Targets Center target package production and training. (Note: At no point will contractors be involved in the actual targeting process of the AAF. All of the scenarios involving targeting skills will be done using training target folders. The contractor must be vigilant to maintain separation between the training mission and the simultaneous real- world mission many of their students will be asked to engage in. Post-mission target packages may be used for Lessons Learned instruction.) Ensure targeting functions are similar to those in USAF Air Operations


  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in military intelligence 
  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • Must be able to pass CENTCOM medical, dental and other CRC-related deployment requirements from CRC at Ft. Bliss, TX.    
  • Must continue to maintain CENTCOM Mod 13 and other deployment-related requirements for the Afghanistan theater of operations     
  • Must be able to receive and maintain a current/active Afghanistan visa 
  • Must be in possession of and maintain an appropriate-level current/active security clearance with eligibility to receive/maintain a NATO clearance for the duration of the deployment      
  • Must be willing to work and live in austere and hostile environments in Afghanistan, and understanding of the possibility to be further assigned to any location in Afghanistan, as allowed by the contract 
  • Must be willing and able to travel outside of protected areas via military convoys or MILAIR, and wear protective clothing and equipment, as required.  Force protection will be provided by authorized sources.   
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing 
  • Must comply with all theater command policies, regulations, and General Orders 


  • Previous OCONUS experience. (Prefer Afghanistan or Iraq)
  • Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • 10 years’ experience. 
  • Military Intelligence qualified; prefer aviation background.
  • Understand the capabilities of A29/AC-208/MD 530/Scan Eagle
  • Prefer experience on Military BN/BDE staff and understand the MDMP concept
  • Understand ROE (Rules of Engagement)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret and NATO security clearance.
