AAF Intelligence Trainer-TA

Train, advise, and assist the AAF Headquarters Intelligence Directorate and its subordinate units in the development of intelligence personnel, programs, organization, and processes.  Assist key AAF A2 leaders in the development of staff organization necessary to develop processes for personnel, security, resource, and training management, current operations, and intelligence plans.  Instruct the AAF A2 in the use of all-source collection and analysis for the creation of intelligence assessments to support AAF missions.  Train key AAF A2 personnel in the conduct of intelligence watch operations to enable 24/7 response capability to internal or external national defense threats.   Instruct AAF A2 in intelligence support to air operations planning cycle in order to effectively direct and safeguard AAF operations.  Train key AAF A2 leaders in the development of intelligence career fields.  Instruct in the establishment of both information and personnel security programs. Instruct in the development and implementation of intelligence doctrine, regulatory guidance, MOS 21A and 21E training (both formal and informal), Intel MOS training programs, forecasting, and plans for air and ground operations.  Train AAF intelligence leaders in the conduct of intelligence collection management in order to direct human, airborne imagery, and counter-intelligence operations.  Instruct key AAF intelligence leaders in the development of intelligence sharing agreements and integration with other AFGHAN National Security Forces (ANSF) intelligence organizations and national security operations centers.  Coordinate across the MoD and Ministry of Interior (MoI) to train key AAF intelligence leadership in the scheduling and registering AAF intelligence personnel into existing Afghan intelligence courses. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in military intelligence 
  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • Must be able to pass CENTCOM medical, dental and other CRC-related deployment requirements from CRC at Ft. Bliss, TX.    
  • Must continue to maintain CENTCOM Mod 13 and other deployment-related requirements for the Afghanistan theater of operations     
  • Must be able to receive and maintain a current/active Afghanistan visa 
  • Must be in possession of and maintain an appropriate-level current/active security clearance with eligibility to receive/maintain a NATO clearance for the duration of the deployment      
  • Must be willing to work and live in austere and hostile environments in Afghanistan, and understanding of the possibility to be further assigned to any location in Afghanistan, as allowed by the contract 
  • Must be willing and able to travel outside of protected areas via military convoys or MILAIR, and wear protective clothing and equipment, as required.  Force protection will be provided by authorized sources.   
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing 
  • Must comply with all theater command policies, regulations, and General Orders 

    Desired: 

  • Previous OCONUS experience. (Prefer Afghanistan or Iraq)
  • Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • 10 years’ experience. 
  • Military Intelligence qualified; prefer aviation background.
  • Understand the capabilities of A29/AC-208/MD 530/Scan Eagle
  • Prefer experience on Military BN/BDE staff and understand the MDMP concept
  • Understand ROE (Rules of Engagement)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret and NATO security clearance.
