Area Security Specialist – Full Performance

Area Security Specialist provides security support to a government customer in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret SCI w/Poly
  • Contractor personnel at all skill levels shall have the following education, experience, and skills:
  • Knowledge of basic office automation tool suites (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Familiarity with all security and cover relationship consistent with the Security Classification Guide ranging from SC-0 – SC-2 level contracts
  • Knowledge of ICD 704 and 705 and applicable Sponsor procedures
  • Working knowledge of the customer badging systems
  • Experience with processing special badge requests (ID cards and photo badges)
  • Hands-on knowledge with trouble shooting vaults and access control issues

Desired Qualifications:

  • Contractor personnel at all skill levels may have the following desired experience and skills:
  • Three to five years of experience with customer security support
  • Demonstrated high level of personal integrity and the ability to discreetly handle sensitive, personal and classified information
  • Three to five years of experience with trouble shooting vaults and access control issues
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Five years of experience with processing special badge requests (ID cards and photo badges)

Full Performance Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 2 years’ experience serving as a Company Security Officer (CSO)

Desired Experience:

  • 5 years of experience providing security support 
  • 1 year experience in customer space
  • Equivalent experience for Bachelor’s degree is 2 years working experience in a relevant field (this is in addition to the specified minimum years of experience identified.
