Job Description

Serve as the Armorer for an enterprise Base Operations Support contract in the Northwest Florida Area.  This Amorer will be responsible for providing basic gunsmithing services. This individual must demonstrate and apply highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills the ability to manage complex programs in a diverse and dynamic environment with short-notice tasking’s under high pressure situations. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive

Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic gunsmithing services including, installing and adjusting sights, trigger jobs, bluing, barrel threading, crowning, bedding, cleaning, engraving, basic to major diagnosis and repairs of foreign and domestic firearms, after-market customization's including building custom firearms per customer needs, and preventative maintenance of range rental guns.
  • Have the ability to use and make necessary gunsmithing tools required to complete specific jobs.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must possess a current TS/SCI clearance
  • Candidate must have a high level of mechanical competency that can easily understand firearm schematics and be able to use them to disassemble and reassemble firearms without supervision or direction.
  • Be organized and be able to show their work space clean enough to be visible to customers.
  • Have the ability to work with machine tools like lathes and presses.
  • Be knowledgeable and meticulously detailed in proper intake, modification, and release of firearms in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as all OSHA requirements pertaining to the usage of safety equipment, proper disposal and usage of chemicals and other hazardous materials.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related area preferred
  • Five (5-7) years of relevant work experience

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Expert computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
