Bahamas Customs/Immigration Administrator

The Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission is to provide Naval Warfare Centers, the Fleet, and other customers with accurate undersea, surface, and in-air three-dimensional tracking data and other unique Atlantic test facilities.  In support of Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and Fleet readiness assessment and training. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments.

Bahamas Customs/Immigration Administrator perform a variety of professional functions in support of the Autec Project as it relates to Bahamian Customs/Immigration.


  • Responsible for all phases of ingoing/outgoing processing of Bahamian Customs/Immigration paperwork for all entities pertaining to the Autec Project.
  • Facilitates boarding of passengers departing ASD on the Autec Flight.
  • Stays abreast of changes in Bahamian policies and regulations that directly affect the Autec Project.
  • Is pivotal in reporting adverse weather conditions that would affect the Autec Flight arrival on ASD.
  • On-call after hours for any customs/immigrations processing related to any vessels or any medivacs.


  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous administrative clerical experience required. 
  • Training and FAA experience in dispatch, passenger check in, weight and balance calculations is desired, but not a requirement. 
  • Good computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills required.
  • Must be able to spell, write, and perform math as related to aircraft scheduling operations, weight and balance computations, checking passenger weights and cargo weights for proper aircraft placement.
  • Valid Driver’s License and passport will be required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.
  • Must have a good customer service interface and ability to handle delicate relations with Bahamian customs/immigration officials.
  • Must be able to effectively relay changes in Bahamian policy to upper management that directly affects the Autec Project.
