Configuration Manager, Junior

Duties, Experience, Skills, Requirements, and Information: Ability to work well as a team and as an individual with minimal supervision.  Performs basic configuration management procedures. Performs basic assignments involving a standard sequence of related operations.

  • Assists and provides support to facilitate the project/task.
  • Maintains accurate records concerning all project performance indicators/task.
  • Receives explicit instructions on assignments.
  • Supervisor checks completed work for accuracy.
  • Performs configuration management (CM) of project drawings and documentation.
  • Reviews project drawings and documentation to ensure all proper approvals were received and that CM processes and procedures were followed.
  • Distributes drawings and documentation to APSD employees and customers upon request.
  • Assists employees with using and entering documentation into the CM tool.
  • Reviews projects prior to completion to ensure all necessary documentation is complete and/or under CM control.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Desirable if the applicant possesses Adobe Pro knowledge
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • All candidates will be required to pass Drug Screenings

Education Required:

  • BS/BA degree in a business or management discipline, such as business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or management information technology from an accredited college or university.
  • In lieu of BS/BA Degree, a total of 6 years’ experience OR an AS/AA degree and 4 years of experience in performing the stated functions.

Security Clearance(required):

  • Ability to obtain and maintain US DoD Secret Security clearance, throughout employment.

  • Work Conditions:
  • Conditions will vary. Most work is performed in enclosed buildings, but some outside work may be required. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Applicant should be capable of lifting 50-100 lbs. assisted by other employees. Vision abilities needed to perform this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
