Corporate Overhead Manager

The Corporate Overhead Manager will support PAE Corporate Headquarters in Arlington, VA. The position will report to the Director of FP&A and will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Corporate Compliance and Accounting. Some of the job responsibilities are as follows:

  • Managing the overall annual indirect rates process and corporate budgets totaling over $100M
  • Managing the annual indirect budget buildup and DCMA forward pricing submission for all PAE indirect rates 
  • Coordinating with all budget owners to ensure consistency of rate buildups with GAAP, Cost Accounting Standards, Corporate policy and Corporate budget targets
  • Managing the Corporate PAE monthly / quarterly Rate Variance reporting
  • Creating the indirect rate reporting package for the DCMA each month, explaining all variances and providing in depth analysis of projected rates
  • Summarizing and preparing presentations for PAE’s executive leadership and shareholders
  • Integrate all indirect rates resulting from acquisition or organic growth
  • Coordinating with the Accounting department in to ensure a timely close process and timely allocation of indirect rates
  • Coordinate with Project Setup & Pools teams to ensure pools and bases are calculated accurately
  • Lead the reconciliation of the  pools each month with Accounting and ensure accurate indirect rate reporting
  • Review and approve changes to Provisional Billing and Target rates in Costpoint
  • Managing direct reports within the FP&A department
  • Working directly with Directors and Vice Presidents to develop indirect budgets
  • Maintain and update the indirect rate module in Hyperion where all forecasting and budgeting is done
  • Work with Corporate Benefits group to develop company wide fringe rates

Minimum Requirements

  • Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related work experience in finance and accounting field.
  • 7+ years of experience in multiple areas, including Finance, Accounting or Program Operations is required.
  • Functional knowledge in the use of financial software applications.
  • Experience with Costpoint, Cognos and Hyperion applications highly desired but not required.
  • Requires excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities, schedules and budgets
  • Strong English communication, both oral and written is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate with others
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are required.
  • Knowledge of budgets, estimates at complete and projections
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and propose solutions is required.
  • Prior experience in Government Contracting and/or Financial Planning & Analysis role preferred
  • Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and international perspective is highly desired.
  • Ability to confidently present data to CEO and CFO of a $2.7B+ company
