Crane Program Supervisor - Rigging

PAE is looking for a Crane Program Supervisor – Rigging to support one of its DOD customers in Guam:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the crane operators, riggers, and crane lifts being performed in the field.
  • Supervise the operation of Cat 1 traveling mobile cranes and the positioning of cranes at various locations to include wharf/Piers in the performance of complex lifts to move, load, and unload ammunition, missile, heavy equipment, machinery beams, hazardous materials, lumber, crated or packed material, buckets, or other bulk and packaged materials.
  • Supervise the operations of Cat 1 mobile cranes and rigging necessary to perform complex lifts at water pump stations, water breaks, and multiple level decks and platforms.
  • Supervise the operation of Cat 2/3 bridge/overhead electric traveling cranes.
  • Ensure that preoperational inspection checks conform to government Navy Crane Center (NCC) and Safety regulations/manuals
  • Ensure all company guidelines are met, and that all safety rules are followed in the performance of duties.
  • Ensure that daily inspections are in compliance with established company and client crane and rigging procedures
  • Immediately shut down any crane operations that jeopardize the safety of any jobsite personnel.
  • Immediately notify the Operations Manager of any crane or rigging accidents and operational problems that cannot be resolved at his and/or operator level
  • May be called to operate other heavy equipment that is part of the fleet. 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must have three (3) years of related experience, and prior supervisory and crane and hoisting experience.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid AB Guam Driver’s License. 
  • Must be able to operate Cat 1 mobile cranes, and Cat 2/3 bridge/overhead electric traveling cranes.
  • Must be able to withstand frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, working in cramped positions, and climbing.
  • Must be able to provide direct-line supervision of subordinates without more than normal guidance and direction.
  • Must have knowledge of crane capacity (calculating weights) in loading, weight limitations and materials handled
  • Must be able to follow and interpret instructions and prepare reports.
  • Must be able to complete and validate Operator daily checklists.
  • Must be able to read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans.
  • Must have good eyesight/hearing (correction permitted)/normal color vision.
  • Must be NCC certified.
