Data Validation Specialist

PAE is looking for an experienced Data Validation Specialist to facilitate data flow in a timely and secure manner between multiple parties both within and outside of the organization. This position will be responsible for working with internal and external teams to ensure successful migration of data.

Job Duties:

  • Develop tools for data processing, data cleansing, and verification of the integrity of vendor's data points prior uploading it into our Transit Tracking database; ensuring the load of data is complete and accurate. 
  • Collaborate with other data-stakeholders to ensure that data decisions are consistent and strategic across our organization-wide databases regarding the vendor's data.
  • Identify areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies.
  • Identify data quality and consistency issues and work with other teams to improve data collection and processing.   
  • Participate in Internal Vendor Data PAE platform development.   
  • Coordinate Transit Tracking issues with internal teams, Procurement and IT, to define Data requirements for future PAE Vendor Platform development. 
  • Build Transit Tracking dashboard to identify vendor issues, and define contract reporting and escalation guidelines between internal stakeholders, contracts and procurement.

Educational and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or Transportation required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly recognize issues and opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis, data profiling, data extraction, and data mining
  • Experience with one or more business intelligence tools such as Business Objects, Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI
  • Ability to think in a creative and innovative manner to create appropriate and efficient solutions
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Knowledge of SQL or other logic/query-based language, and ability to take a methodical approach to data cleanup desired.
