Deck Engineering Instructor-Tech II

Pacific Architects and Engineers Services (PAE), located at Naval Amphibious (NAB) Coronado, CA is interviewing for a full time position as a Small Boat Operator Instructor (Deck Engineering Technician II).  Navy NEC 9502 four years as navy instructor or MTS qualification highly desired.  U.S. Coast Guard 100-Ton license is a plus. Must have a minimum of 8 years BM/QM Navy small boat experience or equivalent civilian experience. Specific experience on Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS), MPF Utility Boat (MPFUB) and/or LARC V would be very beneficial.  Requires performing classroom instruction, underway laboratory training, preventive and corrective maintenance and preservation of Navy small craft. Proficiency in MS Office preferred. This position requires some travel. Must be equivalent to Navy Second Class Swimmer qualified.  This is a full-time instructor position with a starting hourly rate of $29.36 an hour, plus overtime. Salary is $56K annually, plus overtime, paid holidays, two weeks annual leave and medical benefits. Rate of pay increases upon qualifying and serving as an Instructor.

This position requires some travel, and occasionally work hours will be changed based on the type of training required.  Some overtime may be periodically required.  Must be equivalent to Navy Second Class Swimmer.  Work is performed at Navy Training Command in Coronado, California and personnel must maintain highest standards of personal grooming and dress as well as maintaining cleanliness of your work areas or assigned craft.  Must support PAE Ethics Program, Workplace Environment, Occupational Safety, Drug-Free Workplace and Random Drug Testing.  Must be willing to complete and submit a Standard Form 86.
