Deployment Specialist

PAE seeks a Deployment Specialist to assist with the Global Anti-Terrorism Assistance (GATA) II Program.  The Deployment Specialist will report to the Operations Manager of Deployment and will coordinate the deployment of instructors and equipment for approximately 250 or more courses a year in three different regions (Africa, Near East Asia and South Central Asia). Liaise with the Operations Manager of Deployment for program decision making.

Responsibilities include:

  •  Manage day-to-day support in the areas of instructor deployment, procurement, logistics, and database entry/management.
  • Collaborate with the travel support/in-country logistics subcontractor ensuring all travel arrangements (including airline tickets, travel insurance, visas, hotel room and training facility reservations) are accurate, on time and with responsibility for ensuring best price and in compliance with corporate and contract requirements.
  • Assist with development and start-up of various databases/computer systems by testing and validating data, designing reports, developing training materials and conducting training for other users.
  • Maintain records and databases for instructors, training, inventory, etc.; identify processes and procedures to increase efficiencies.
  • Manages the Sharepoint Site Portal by compiling, uploading and updating documentation for the document libraries, calendars, forms/lists, announcements, reports, and dashboards.
  • Responsible for processing and reconciling a high volume of company credit card purchase documentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Statement of Work and other contract requirements in order to prepare, track and submit customer and corporate deliverables. 
  • Conduct property control activities to track government furnished equipment in accordance with the FAR.
  • Respond to requests for information and assist with research, analysis, and data compilation for deliverable reports and other documents as needed.
  • Enter and track purchase requisitions in the Costpoint financial system.  
  • Review and approve invoices and coordinate with Finance to resolve discrepancies prior to submission to the customer.
  • Review and assist instructors with expense reports.
  • Reports to the Operations Manager-Deployment

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in travel coordination and logistical support required.
  • Minimum of 3 year experience working on a government contract.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project is required.
  • Experience with database entry and management required.
  • Must be willing and able travel to austere/hazardous locations as necessary.
  • Attention to detail and ability to independently handle multiple tasks with competing priorities in a fast paced environment.

Desired requirements:

  • Master’s degree in international studies or related fields
  • Three or more years of experience working on international security programs
