Document Management Analyst I

The Document Management Analyst will assist attorneys and staff with various onsite tasks which include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist attorneys with case organization, investigation, discovery, and trial preparation for criminal and civil litigation.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for interviews with investigative sources, expert witnesses, and prospective fact witnesses.
  • Create, organize, and maintain various files, exhibits, and binders.
  • Interfaces with the ALS lab to coordinate uploading and production of data and to relay instructions for prioritizing and formatting data processes.
  • Review pleadings and legal documents to ensure technical accuracy. 
  • Use electronic databases and other electronic means to perform litigation support tasks, including organizing, indexing, and summarizing documents, files, and other materials. 
  • Provide technical assistance to attorneys using automated case management systems and maintain record keeping systems for tracking progress of investigations and cases.   
  • Review documents, depositions, files and other materials to locate information or documents which are responsive to requests for production, interrogatories, requests for admissions and other discovery requests.
  • Respond to citizen correspondence and phone calls.
  • File court documents electronically and at the courthouse.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
  • One year of experience on major litigation support projects or undergraduate degree. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment.   

  • Must have excellent writing skills and oral communication capabilities. 

  • Requires hands-on familiarity with the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, data processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, internet and server-based databases and other applications, such as Oracle, Concordance, Summation, Trial Director, etc. 

  • Should be a knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems. 

  • Litigation support experience preferred.
