Document Management Analyst I

PAE has an opening for a Document Management Analyst I to provide legal administrative support to our customer at the Consumer Protection Branch (CPB) in Washington, DC.

  • Working with government and contract attorneys conducting case investigations, discovery process, trial preparation. This can include things like assisting with interview preparations, whether it’s an expert witness, fact witnesses, or investigating a source further
  • Creating files, exhibits, binders, review pleadings and legal documents to ensure technical accuracy
  • Usage of electronic databases Relativity experience? Or any other legal database?
  • Review documents, depositions, files and other materials to locate pertinent information
  • Assist with requests for production, interrogatories, requests for admissions and other discovery type requests made by opposing counsel
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for interviews with investigative sources, expert witnesses, and prospective fact witnesses.
  • Create, organize, and maintain various files, exhibits, and binders.
  • Interfaces with the ALS lab to coordinate uploading and production of data and to relay instructions for prioritizing and formatting data processes.
  • Review pleadings and legal documents to ensure technical accuracy. 
  • Use electronic databases and other electronic means to perform litigation support tasks, including organizing, indexing, and summarizing documents, files, and other materials. 
  • Provide technical assistance to attorneys using automated case management systems and maintain record keeping systems for tracking progress of investigations and cases.   
  • Provide other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
  • One year of experience on major litigation support projects or undergraduate degree. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment.   
  • Must have excellent writing skills and oral communication capabilities. 
  • Requires hands-on familiarity with the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, data processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, internet and server-based databases and other applications, such as Oracle, Concordance, Summation, Trial Director, etc. 
  • Should be a knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems. 
  • Litigation support experience preferred.
