Document Management Analyst I

PAE has an opportunity to provided administrative support to the Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties (OPCL) in Washington, DC.

  • Analyze, track and draft responses to complaints and other submissions from the public; track deadlines and ensure responses are provided on a timely basis; assist in drafting formal reports related to submissions from the public, finalize and submit reports to oversight authorities.
  • Manage records in electronic form and in hard copy related to official business in accordance with DOJ and OPCL policy and other requirements, e.g., complaints, responses, litigation briefs, reports, and other matters.
  • Perform research and analysis in assigned areas, including research in a variety of legal and non-legal databases - Review and correct outgoing correspondence, reports or other written material for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency with applicable writing style guide or Department guidelines. 
  • Prepare and organize files, binders, and other material for various proceedings, events, and onboarding staff - Receive legal documentation from components, track such documentation, manage related records, track OPCL’s response to submissions. 
  • Organize meetings with DOJ and other officials, which may include foreign government officials, prepare related material - Support OPCL responses to FOIA requests and litigation holds.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
  • One (1) year of experience on major litigation support projects OR undergraduate degree.  Certain assignments may require experience or substantial undergraduate coursework in, for example, finance/accounting, health care, or substantial experience in the legal environment or in information technology.  
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment.   
  • Must have excellent writing skills and oral communication capabilities.  
  • Requires hands-on familiarity with office and network environment, including but not limited to, data processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, internet and server-based databases and other applications.
  • Should be a knowledgeable user of office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Legal research skills.
  • Litigation support experience.
