Electronic Files Specialist

  • Provides hands-on file manipulation, loading, and conversion services. 
  • Creates and modifies files for upload into COTS products and performs individual file conversion in support of electronic file processing.
  • Will be required to develop, evaluate and modify methodologies and procedures for manipulating files for use typically with COTS products and litigation support applications. 
  • Must be able to ensure the accuracy of data loading, manipulation, and conversion by performing and documenting quality and accuracy checks.
  • Responsible for ensuring that incoming productions are made pursuant to the applicable ESI specifications and when deficiencies are found, provides senior Contractor IT staff with notice of deficiencies. 

Specific types of routine tasks include the following:

  • Uploads files securely via KiteWorks. 
  • Maintains and updates CaseTracker and log of existing or archived Concordance databases.
  • Performs intake and tracking of media in Access and Excel worksheets.
  • Generates reports from Access into Excel.
  • Scans paper documents to PDFs, renders PDFs OCR searchable, creates bookmarks, and adds bates endorsements. 
  • Creates productions out of Concordance and Adobe PDF.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues with electronic files. 
  • Creates privilege logs in Microsoft Excel.
  • Assists attorney teams with drafting search terms and syntax. 
  • Processes decline qui tam files in hard or electronic form, incoming paper documents, and electronic self-disclosures. 
  • Loads .dat/.opt/txt/native files to Concordance and perform post load QC and verification as needed.
  • Creates pages, InfoPath forms, lists, and libraries in SharePoint.
  • Creates and modify PDF forms in Adobe Lifecycle.
  • Uses Microsoft OneDrive to transfer and retrieve electronic files.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Requires At least 2-3 years of professional experience in a litigation environment and one year of hands-on experience with MS Office, Concordance, or similar applications. 
  • Knowledge of Government’s IT environment, including office automation networks, PC and server based applications very helpful.
  • Technical certification valued.
  • Proficiency in the following software applications or similar software required: Microsoft 365 Suite (including Word, Excel, and Access), Sharepoint, OneDrive, Adobe Acrobat, Kiteworks, textpad, emediotr, notepadd+++, and Concordance.
  • Experience providing direct end-user support via in person communications and email/telephone communications. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
