Equipment Custodian (Jr, Mid,Sr, Principle)

PAE National Security Solutions, is looking for Equipment Custodians ,Multiple Levels, supporting the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center at Hill Air Force Base-Ogden, Utah.  This will be supporting the Integration Support Contract (ISC) 2.0.  Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon systems. 

 

Candidate Must have an Active SECRET Level or Higher security clearance at time of application.  

  

Duties:   
• Assists with BSLM and USLM support in compliance with AF managerial and procedural requirements for IT acquisition and properly accounts for IT hardware/software assets.
• Defines, tracks and controls software licenses and hardware throughout out product lifecycle.
• Manages reports to provide status and inventory on hardware and software vendors, titles, licenses, quantities, and versions.
• Uses asset management tools to track and audit hardware and software assets.
• Registers and documents all unit software licenses and proofs of purchase.
• Assists with Internet Protocol (IP) based VTCs
• Actively maintains asset database in order to sustain its technological viability.
• Provide inventory control of hardware, software and maintenance/warranty coverage

Qualifications:

• Ability to apply problem solving methodologies and principles
• Task leader experience
• Understanding of IT practices and principles associated with asset management

Jr Level Requirements: 

• AS degree in STEM/IT related field + 1-2 years' experience;
• 3-5 years'  related experience equivalent to any combination of education/experience

• Develops and maintains an Asset Management Plan.
• Helps oversee BSLM and USLM support in compliance with AF managerial and prodedural requirements for IT acquisition and accounts for IT hardware/software assets.
• Defines, tracks and controls software licenses and hardware throughout out product lifecycle.
• Develops and manages reports to provide status and inventory on hardware and software vendors, titles, licenses, quantities, and versions.
• Uses asset management tools to track and audit hardware and software assets
• Assists with Internet Protocol based VTCs based on senior leader requirements
• Deploys and tracks inventory for all assigned IT-hardware-asset types to include sensitive, non-sensitive, and Personal Wireless Communication Systems (PWCS)

Mid Level Requirements: 

• AS degree in STEM/IT related field + 3-5 years' experience;
• 5-8 years' related experience equivalent to any combination of education/experience

• Develops and maintains an Asset Management Plan.

• Provide inventory control of hardware, software and maintenance/warranty coverage

Sr Level Requirements: 

• AS degree in STEM/IT-related field + 5-8 years of experience;
•  + 8-10 years of related experience

• Bears responsibility for BSLM and USLM support in compliance with AF managerial and procedural requirements for IT acquisition and accounts for IT hardware and software assets.
• Manages all aspects of inventory determination, coordination and control (e.g., initial inventory assessment, marking, tagging, bar-coding, associated tracking and management).
• Ensures complete accuracy, integrity and reliability of asset database.
• Actively maintains asset database in order to sustain its technological viability.
• Manages storage and disposal management needs.
• Logs action taken in response to detected problems (e.g., research, analysis, troubleshooting, contacts, final resolution).
• Supervises Journeyman-level Managers and support personnel.
• Leads, directs, develops and encourages team members to accomplish annual and periodic, individual/team goals and initiatives
• Assists with Internet-Protocol-based VTCs related to senior leader requirements
• Researches and documents hardware/software purchases
• Coordinates work efforts with several offices and supported commands/clients
• Monitors IT hardware/software that has reached obsolescence to prevent data leakage
• Maintains chain-of-custody processes for IT assets
• Communicates and coordinates with IT-Asset-Management-related stakeholders
• Promotes, assists, or leads process improvement efforts

Principal Level Requirements: 

• BS degree in STEM/IT-related field + 5-8 years of experience; 
• AS degree in STEM/IT related field + 8-10 years experience;                                
• + 10-12 years of related experience

• Leads in planning, evaluating, directing, controlling, analyzing and coordinating complex cross-functional projects.
• Supervises Senior Managers and support personnel.
• Develops and executes complex technical tasks.
• Oversees BSLM and USLM support in compliance with AF managerial and procedural requirements related to IT acquisition and accounts for IT hardware/software assets.
• Interfaces with Government and contractor personnel to manage budgets, projects and/or operations.
• Ensures support contract effectiveness/efficiency by establishing schedules, monitoring progress, and taking corrective action as needed.
• Ensures contractor compliance with IT hardware/software acquisition and inventory management requirements
• Prevents data leakage by monitoring IT hardware/software that has reached obsolescence
• Coordinates with Security Directorate personnel for sanitized IT hardware turn over congruent with Reuse and e-Waste processes
• Ensures that chain-of-custody processes for IT assets are maintained
• Communicates and coordinates with IT-Asset-Management-related stakeholders
• Promotes, assists, or leads process improvement efforts
• Supports other CIO-T offices and services ensuring appropriate integration and interoperability of new, updated, or current IT-Asset-Management-related processes, standards, directives, instructions and memorandums
