Estimator / Planner-2


PAE is currently seeking an Engineering Design and Construction Cost Estimator for a new program at Kirtland AFB near Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Engineering Design and Construction Cost Estimator will be responsibilities include:

  • Perform cost estimating services to include study, design, construction, maintenance, repair, landscaping, infrastructure, and facilities services.
  • Provide all estimates for project execution, including costs of studies, designs, design/builds, and construction.
  • Provide all estimates for procurement and modification of service contracts for facility-related services (such as custodial services, industrial water treatment services, etc.).
  • Provide cost estimates and plans for restoration of facilities and utilities during readiness exercises, actual contingencies, or natural disasters including evaluation of hypothetical or actual damage due to hostile threat, major accidents, or natural disasters. 
  • Provide cost estimates for procurement of study, design, and construction services through available contract mechanisms including standalone contracts, IDIQ contracts, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contracts, and others.


The Engineering and Construction Cost Estimator must have a bachelor’s degree (Certified Professional Estimator certification preferred).

The Engineering Design and Construction Cost Estimators shall have and maintain Tier III (Advanced) Air Force Certified Cost Estimator certification from the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) and shall be completed within 60 calendar days after assigned to the position.AFIT training shall be taken at the first available course offering.


  • Must possess strong computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills, including multi discipline coordination and multitasking.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance.
  • Must have and maintain a valid US driver’s license.
  • Must be capable of working with customers and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
  • Two (2) years related experience working in facility and infrastructure cost estimated (Air Force experience is preferred).
