FOIA Paralegal

PAE has an opening for a FOIA Paralegal to assist with a current backlog of 2,400 requests within the US Attorney's Office.

  • Performance production of the current FOIA case management system
  • Assist in processing FOIA responsive records received from the respective United States Attorneys’ Offices (USAO) throughout the United States, Guam, the Marianas Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Sustain consistent processing of these requests in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Privacy Act.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
  • Experience with the Freedom of Information (FOIA) and Privacy Act.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of legal experience.
  • Experience with legal writing.
  • Prior experience performing legal research using a variety of databases.
  • Track record of utilizing legal analyses to recommend course of actions/final disposition.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of computer applications to support research and correspondence preparation.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a high-level of productivity without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
