Human Resource Technician

This Position Will Be Responsible To

• Validate employee HR information – verify employee pay rates & positions and other key fields in HCM and payroll systems, and make necessary corrections.
• Assist PAE HR managers following CBA negotiations, to produce final CBA copies (new unions) and incorporate changes (existing unions)
• Maintain reference information for PAE unions – incorporating pay practices, benefit/pension info (follow existing template that has been started)
• Process monthly contributions – IAM pension, and other groups as needed by contract requirements
• Support HR setup of new contracts
  • Includes working with recruiting/PAE HR management for initial employee setup
  • Helping train administrative & support staff (time entry, HR system entries)
  • Validating employee info after load, working with site/program management to verify & update info
• Support contracts on an as-needed basis, for system processes like hiring entries, job and pay changes, and terminations.
• Assist with information gathering for audit requests, union requests for information prior to negotiations
• Work with PAE HR managers to help update forms & policies (will not have primary responsibility for forms & policies) and communicate with site/contract personnel when updates are released.
• Help process option year rate/wage changes, H&W updates, and maintain SCA area wage determination (AWD) information. This includes keeping track of revision #s, H&W rates, vacation/leave info, and other key information.
• Support PAE HR & Payroll in the time entry & approval process. Will serve as point of contact between payroll personnel, sites, and human resources, as needed to ensure accurate time entry (and to help ensure compliance with policy)
• Will interact with PAE HR & payroll regarding administrative support across PAE lines of business
• Assist in processing I-9 verifications, union dues and other union benefit deductions, and accounts payable activity.
• Process request for bridging of service time
• Support PAE military leave processing
• General administrative support for Fort Worth office
• Other duties as required

Essential Job Functions And Requirements

Must be able to communicate regularly and effectively with various PAE departments

Will provide responsive support to PAE HR, payroll & operations as issues arise, and be prepared to escalate items to PAE management as needed for resolution

Must be proficient in the use of HRIS-Workday, and Deltek Costpoint (HR Module), Time Collection, and the associated reports necessary to support PAE processes.

Requires regular attendance to ensure continuity of support to Company systems and employee administration

Minimum Education And Experience Required

3 years human resources, employee administration, and/or payroll experience

High school diploma; college preferred

Strong interpersonal skills - must work well with management, peers, and employees

Office administration, organization and coordination skills

Computer skills

Proficiency in on-line personnel and accounting systems

Proficiency with MS Word and Excel programs

Human Resources payroll and benefits familiarity

Strong verbal and written communication skills
