Power Systems Engineer

This position plans and lays out daily, weekly and monthly work to be completed by line crews, metering, locating and warehouse personnel; inspects the work in progress and upon completion; completes reports of work accomplished; may participate in the work of subordinates. Establishes long-range plans, methods, and procedures governing operational and maintenance activities. Participates in the design of new system expansions for residential, commercial, and industrial customers; inspects system expansions and upgrades. Oversight of line crews to ensure that power is restored in the event of an outage; responds to customer complaints. Coordinates electric utility work and plans with other departments and public/private utilities; attends meetings to represent the electric utility in such discussions. Provides effective and efficient customer services and promotes and maintains responsive community relations

The Power System Manager shall be a registered professional engineer licensed by a U.S. State or Territory with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in power systems.
