Project Manager – Lab Manager

  • Manage a team of Electronic Discovery (eDiscovery) professionals situated in a client-site eDiscovery laboratory, including:
    • Scheduling
    • Requirements assessments
    • Assigning work and ensuring deadlines are met
    • Creating progress reports
    • Security
    • Quality Control (QC) of deliverables
  • Advise Department of Justice attorneys, paralegals, and case managers on all phases of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM); especially:
    • Collection
    • Data processing
    • Data hosting
    • Document review
    • Analytics
    • Production
  • Administer a Relativity instance and be an expert at performing the following operations:
    • Importing data (natives, images, text, and metadata) using Relativity Desktop client
    • Experience manipulating load files and metadata files, such as CSV, DAT, Dii, eDii, DLF, LFP, LST, OPT, etc.
    • Structuring workspace folders
    • Assigning user and group permissions
    • Creating saved searches
    • Creating tagging layouts
    • Composing Search Term Report (STR)
    • Creating search term hit count reports
    • Running, interpreting, and troubleshooting Relativity Analytics
    • Applying persistent highlighting
    • Performing tag conflict checks
    • Imaging files using Relativity Native Imager
    • Creating and exporting production sets
  • Administer a LAW PreDiscovery processing platform and be an expert at performing the following operations:
    • Understanding file compression ratios
    • Identifying forensic as well as non-forensic container files and extracting Electronically Stored Information (ESI)
    • Identifying industry standard user-created file types
    • Creating cases
    • Processing organic ESI
    • Assigning Document Control Numbers (DCN) and Bates Numbers
    • Creating image files (JPEG, JPG, TIF, TIFF, PDF)
    • Endorsing images
  • Manage a Concordance instance, including:
    • Data loading
    • Searching
    • Drafting Concordance Programing Language (CPL) scripts
    • Creating search term hit count reports
    • Reporting on hosting metrics
    • Exporting natives and images for production
  • Collaborate with DOJ network and systems administrators.
  • Consult with Project Managers, Government Contract Officer Representative (COR), Government Case Managers, Government Attorneys and Case Team.
  • Assist in re-engineering eDiscovery workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Recommend and implement changes to documentation, training materials and SOP’s.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and answer questions from staff and clients.
  • Possess the ability to learn new software tools and teach others.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a technical field.
  • At least 7+ years’ experience in an eDiscovery position.
  • 3+ years of in-depth experience using Relativity and LAW PreDiscovery and Concordance is required.
    • RCA certification and other eDiscovery certifications desired.
    • Use of analytics in Relativity including structured and conceptual analytics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Need to be proactive, organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be willing to work on a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends.
