Range Maintenance Technician

Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World

Serve as the Range Maintenance Technician for an enterprise Base Operations Support contract in the Northwest Florida Area.  This individual maintains ranges, range equipment and keeps facilities in working condition. Provides technical leadership and meets target safety requirements. Assists in the development of safe and realistic tactical movement training concepts. Enforcement of all safety procedures, conducting safety reviews and walk through of all training areas. Responsible for maintaining all live fire and simulator facilities and equipment. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.


• Ensures that all equipment materials are on-hand for training

• Maintain range complex and adjacent facilities

• Other administrative tasks to support range operations, as necessary

• Must possess a minimum of three (3) years' experience as a range master; this experience must have been earned as part of other federal, state, or local government training assignments

• Qualify with the Glock-19, M4, M203, M240, M249, and Remington 870 shotgun

• Complete the Physical Readiness Test at the 50% performance level, and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service

• Knowledge of how to inspect steel targets

Position Requirements:

• Must possess a current TS/SCI clearance

Other Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Strong written and oral presentation skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Forklift certifications

• Heavy Equipment certification
