Senior Electronic Files Specialist

PAE is seeking Sr Electronic Files Specialists to support both the EDP application known as Clearwell and the electronic data retention system known as “Enterprise Vault."


  • Use Clearwell and other electronic databases and other electronic means to perform litigation support tasks, including organizing, indexing, and summarizing documents, files, and other materials. 
  • Processing collections and various loose files into Clearwell cases
  • Performing and evaluating OCR and search tasks on those cases, exporting search results.
  • Apply available advanced analytic tools to provide customized solutions to a variety of investigations to minimize review time.
  • Identify and organize relevant documents using complex metadata filters and visualization tools.
  • Perform ETL (extract, transform, and load) to both processed and native files, in both structured and unstructured format, to illuminate meaningful connections and correlations among vast data sets.
  • Archiving cases and collecting statistics.
  • Provide technical assistance to attorneys using automated case management systems and maintain record keeping systems for tracking progress of investigations and cases.   
  • Review documents, depositions, files and other materials to locate information or documents which are responsive to requests for production, interrogatories, requests for admissions and other discovery requests.
  • Diagnosing and correcting instances where Clearwell could not process a document is valued, as is a basic understanding of Active Directory and its role in accounts management.


  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Extensive experience using Clearwell to collect data from Enterprise Vault, Office 365, network locations, and PC hard drives.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience performing ediscovery roles including but not limited to electronic files processing (EFP), image and data file conversion, data culling using review tools, quality assurance, database loads and retrieval, and forensic analysis. 
  • Requires knowledge of litigation discovery process, and the EDRM workflow. 

  • Knowledge of Government’s IT environment, including office automation networks, PC and server based applications preferred. 

  • Working knowledge of personal computers, including Windows 7, document review software, and encryption methods. 

  • Experience with LAW, IPRO, Concordance, Summation, ICONECT, Relativity, MS Office Suite, and West LiveNote valued. 

  • Undergraduate degree preferred-preferably in computer science or related field.
