Supervisory Adjudicator

Job Description –

To provide personnel and administrative support services for a federal client.

Position hours are between 6:30am and 6:00pm Monday - Friday Eastern Standard Time (EST) (except for Federal Holidays).  NOTE: The stated position hours apply to the general hours of operation. However, exceptions to these guidelines may be required based on customer demand loads. This includes “on-call” support during critical production periods and occasional support during evenings and weekends.  This support may also include supporting other time zones which would require working hours to be extended as late as 9:00 PM EST.

The position will require the candidate to have or undergo a background investigation that will be adjudicated by the agency.  A security clearance is not required.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all technical, quality assurance and work related issues for the contract.
  • Provide guidance to Junior Analysts as follows:
    • Adjudication Worksheet Training and Compliance
    • Credit Report review
    • Rap Sheet review
    • Reviewing files for derogatory information
  • Analysis of complex cases
  • Review files and reports
  • Review work discrepancies
  • Assist in the preparation of entries into databases.
  • Update database material as appropriate
  • Review and compare records for accuracy against database material
  • Perform detailed analytical/research support services
  • Assist in task performance
  • Making recommendations for suitability determinations
  • Tracking and monitoring progress to performance goals
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable government standards and
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with the performance standards listed in the contract and it’s Quality Assurance Plan.
  • Complete quality assurance check of the work of all specialists and assistants
  • Ensure background investigations and suitability determinations are routinely inspected and held to the minimum government standards
  • Conduct quality control on NACI packages
  • Ensure all correspondence with applicants is acceptable.

Required Qualifications

  • Supervisory review of completions and correspondence activities, providing background investigations and suitability determinations.
  • Reviewing applicant correspondence including: court documents, references and fingerprints and FBI rap sheets.
  • Experience evaluating and completing quality control on NACI packages.
  • Familiarity with e-QIP, CVS, PIPS/JPAS and other security products. 
  • Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Minimum Experience and Education

With a Bachelor’s Degree this position requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience, one of which should be experience relevant to the nature of the contract work. With an Associate’s Degree this position requires a minimum of four years’ experience, two of which should be experience relevant to the nature of the contract work. With no degree, six years of relevant experience is required, three of which should be experience relevant to the nature of the contract work. Experience should demonstrate increasing responsibilities within the discipline and/or management.
