Supply Technician

PAE is looking for a Supply Technician to support one of its customers in Lemoore, CA:

BASIC FUNCTION SUMMARY

  • Interface, process and expedite supply actions with applicable departments, government agencies and/or other tenant contractors. Responsible for all activities relating to the physical inventory of government and contractor owned personal property. Plan, document, schedule and perform the annual cyclic sample inventory. Prepare any reports necessary and submit to appropriate parties for approval or adjustment.  Research transaction records of any discrepant items to disclose any posting errors and adjust as necessary.  Plan, schedule and conduct periodic wall to wall inventory of materials and equipment assigned to the excess custodian account.  Responsible for all activities relating to support analysis in the various logistics functions including providing real time support, excess analysis, transfer of items to other contractors, and identifying spare parts provisioning needs. Research catalogs, drawings, stock indexes and internal records for requested items. Prepare necessary procurement documentation, charts, files, reports, etc. Operate computer equipment, as required, to obtain data and/or input data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Work within a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures, or other governing supply management guidelines.
  • Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items including supplies and equipment.
  • May contact representatives of commercial firms to obtain information on new items of supply or representatives of government agencies regarding the utilization of property.
  • Verify materials or merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
  • May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
  • Performs miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc.
  • Ordering /Issue/Receive tools, inventory and maintain tools, and issue/receive/properly handle hazardous materials/waste per activity’s Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and local governing directives.
  • Work is performed in a shop environment, aircraft hangars and flight line with frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions, disagreeable fumes, and hazards of moving vehicles such as forklifts, sweepers, tow tractors, and aircraft.
  • Work is frequently performed in high noise level areas, requiring hearing protection.
  • Candidate must be able to lift to exceed 50 pounds.
  • Perform all other positions related duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS

  • Must have high school or equivalent diploma with three (3) years of material/supply experience.
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of naval supply system procurement, inventory, tracking, and reporting requirement.
  • Must have four years’ experience as a logistic specialist in Naval Supply.
  • Knowledge of governing supply systems/programs, policies, and procedures is required.
  • Experience is desired in the following systems: OOMA, NALCOMIS, FEDLOG, One Touch.
  • Must be able to obtain an approved status from the Contractor Verification System which includes a 7 year back ground check and obtain a Security Clearance for Public trust.
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license.

Training/Skills:

  • Possess good organizational and communication skills
  • Receive direction and pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to work with computers and Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license

Physical Demands:

This classification activity is usually accomplished in an office/hangar/flight line environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with office/hangar/flight line activities. May be required to lift objects whose weight may exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment:

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
