Supply Technician

The COLDS (Cargo Offload and Discharge Systems) supply organization supports numerous systems and configurations. The key to a successful COLDS operation is supply parts and material on-hand and ready for issue minimizing any down time on our training equipment.

-Run and maintain COLDS Supply warehouse spaces (two warehouses) which have over 3300 line items with an approximate value of over $2,000,000.

-Requisition process includes the use of Navy One Touch, open purchase commercial supply actions and credit card procurement systems.  Access to supply storage areas is restricted, and requisitioning, receipt, inventory, and disbursement of parts and other items is managed in accordance with EWTGPAC and Navy Supply procedures by PAE personnel.

-Maintain repairable items, repair parts, and consumables required for training support in Ready-For-Issue (RFI) condition, and at required inventory levels.

-Research and verify proper parts numbers for replacement items, identify procurement location, if not available in the Navy Supply System.

-Initiate requisition documents in accordance with local directives, track items through final receipt, and ensure items are properly secured for storage until needed for training repairs.

-Requisition to replace failed materiel items initiated within 48 hours as required.

-Maintain strict control and accountability for all items with the ability to easily identify parts and materiel locations for immediate issue to maintenance personnel during operational hours so as not to lose valuable training time.

Experience/qualifications required:  This position requires experience 20 years in the navy supply system, purchasing, records keeping, accounting, receiving, procurement, inventory control, answering phones taking message. Occasionally work hours will be changed based on the type of training required.  Some over-time may be periodically required.  Must be equivalent to Navy    Must support PAE Ethics Program, Workplace Environment, Occupational Safety, Drug-Free Workplace and Random Drug Testing.  Must be willing to complete and submit a Standard Form 86.
