Tactical Communications Trainer

PAE Seeks Tactical Communications Trainers to mentor and provide Intermediate level field maintenance training in Chad, Mauritania, Niger and Burkina Faso. These are temporary assignments expected to last approximately 60 days:

Training shall be for each partner country delivered as follows:

  • Delivery of and proper use of equipment Parts Manuals
  • Communicating with equipment manufacture points of contact
  • Identifying and communicating with local vendor points of contact
  • Forecasting of Spare Parts Needed
  • Plan, design, and conduct sustainment training to a Basic Radio Features training as required in the following areas: by the POIs and the sophistication of the radio.
  • Basic Electromagnetic Properties
  • Basic Line of Sight (LOS) Radio Properties
  • Frequency ranges and Radio types
  • Benefits and Limitations of Radios
  • Equipment setup.
  • Equipment capabilities and characteristics.
  • Equipment operation.
     

Plan, design, and conduct Expanded Radio Features Training. Training will include expanded radio features (if the radio is capable):

  • GPS
  • Data transfer
  • Secure Communications
  • Crypto/Key Loading
  • Frequency Hopping
  • Other advanced features of the radio

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience on Harris VHF and HF radio systems.
  • At least five years of experience of all aspects of Harris VHF and HF radios, with a focus on advanced radio operator and maintainer skills.
  • Technical fluency in English, specifically in radio and communications terminology.
  • Ability to live and work in austere environments and completed all medical and immunization requirements.
