Utilities Manager

Utilities Manager:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of the operations and maintenance of existing utility systems including:
  • Electrical high voltage systems
  • High temperature hot water production & distribution systems
  • Chilled water production & distribution systems
  • Water production & distribution systems
  • Sewage treatment & collection systems
  • Natural gas distribution systems

Implements and maintains information systems for the following:

  • Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)
  • Computer-aided design/drafting (CAD) updates and conversion
  • Database information management
  • Quantity and quality modeling system (predictions)
  • Emergency information system (e.g. water line ruptures, electrical outages)
  • Facility allocation system
  • Work order and billing systems
  • Customer information system
  • Manage and oversee the full scope of utility operations and maintenance programs.
  • Provides technical advice and oversight
  • Responsible for the guidance, priority development, approval, and adequacy of the implementation as related to utility management

Qualifications:

  • Utilities Managers primary responsibility is to oversee the business and operations of all utility systems and ensure all utility systems are operated and maintained in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Shall have a minimum of five years of experience managing utility systems of similar size and complexity.
  • Shall possess a Bachelor Degree in Science or Engineering from an accredited university.
