Weapons Duty Officer (WDO)/Standardization And Evaluation



PAE seeks a qualified Weapons Duty Officer/Standardization and Evaluation to augment PACAF squadrons. The focus of this work is to support the Squadron’s Standardization and Evaluation with the non-flying additional duty positions traditionally filled by rated aircrew members. The WDO/Standardization and Evaluation's responsibility is to provide physical and operational security and assist with squadron level standardization and evaluation functions that enable the accomplishment of the Air Force mission in peace or wartime scenarios. Specifically, the selected candidate will also be responsible for the following duties:

  • Serves as an assistant to the Government’s Security Manager.
  • Execute duties IAW unit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain accountability of all aircraft media and classified material assigned to the unit while on duty.
  • Format and load aircraft media as requested.
  • Assemble media sign-out logs for each aircraft go.
  • Ensure all pilots and WSOs comply with weapons read file signoffs prior to issuing media.
  • Download WSV onto computer systems as requested.
  • Perform duties as the squadron Technical Order Distribution Account (TODA) manager per T.O. 00-5-1, and Flight Crew Information File (FCIF) library manager per AFIs.
  • Manage squadron hard and soft copy libraries of standardized reference materials, as dictated by AFI or local supplement.
  • Ensure all Briefing Room and Mission Planning materials to include local area maps are maintained, Training Rule publications, checklists, and Special Interest Items are current and serviceable.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum of three to five years of experience working in a USAF Fighter Squadron/Group/Wing Stan/Eval shop or, five years of experience working in a DoD Flying Squadron/Group/Wing Stan/Eval office.
  • Minimum two years of experience working with PEX/GTIMS or similar proprietary Stan/Eval programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. To receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level with the ability to obtain a TS Clearance if necessary. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
