Contract Security Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Security Officer in Falls Church, VA.

The Contract Security Officer (CSO) reports to the Senior Security Manager for National Security Solutions (NSS) via the Senior CSO and will serve as one of several team members responsible for day to day security support to NSS and company compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD).  The candidate will support a broad range of physical, technical, information, and personnel security activities, as well as required liaison and coordination with Intelligence Community, Department of State and DoD authorities.   The candidate will assist with drafting and enforcing PAE policies, as well as coordinating and implementing security programs, plans and procedures that both conform with USG standards and enable PAE mission success.  This individual will provide security support to NSS programs, to include:

  • Providing briefings and instruction related to visitor access procedures and control, personnel security, and security education.
  • Supporting all physical, technical, information, and personnel security related requirements and maintenance at certain PAE facilities.
  • Facilitating PAE and client badging and visitor access.
  • Facilitating industrial security employment screening, and completion of applicant packages
  • Managing security record systems and metrics as related to team performance and productivity.
  • Processing new employee security clearances with government clients.
  • Ensuring adherence to PAE security policies, plans and procedures.
  • Engaging and addressing all administrative inquiries and conduct investigations of non-compliance.
  • Coordinating and conducting security briefings and debriefings.
  • Implementing PAE Security Education programs.
  • Meeting and exceeding minimum expectations for government assessments and inspections.
  • Providing support to classified proposal efforts, and IT systems supporting these programs. 
  • Performing other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Top Secret/SCI and Full-Scope polygraph. Candidates with current TS/SCI Full-scope access will be given priority consideration.    
  • Bachelor’s degree; a combination of college and work experience or 2-3 years related Industrial Security experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community (ICD) standards, clearance processes and procedures; and with NISPOM associated controls/obligations.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with PRISM or similar security database applications, records management processes, tools and/or software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community Classification Management
  • Basic IT security experience.
  • Familiarity with USG physical/technical security standards, equipment and maintenance. 
  • Experience preparing presentation graphics and presenting business case solutions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and interdependently within a team environment
  • Able to multi-task and manage surge requirements
  • Strong initiative, flexible, and experience improving work unit processes
